According to its Academic Analytics Scholarly Research Index, a measure that combines research productivity with citation counts and grant expenditures, the CU Linguistics department ranks seventh in the nation among AAU Public linguistics departments and programs (for the years 2013-2018). It shares this ranking with the UC Berkeley and UC San Diego linguistics departments.
